FAQ
What time does the show start?
Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8pm.

Is there an age limit?
There is no strict age limit, however we would recommend a guidance age of 16+ as we do not censor our acts' material. We are generally happy to leave it to parent/ guardian's discretion. We do however reserve the right to refuse entry if we feel the age of an audience member will make any of the acts uncomfortable.

Is there food available?
The Rugby Club is not currently able to provide food on a Friday night, and we ask you not to consume your own food on the premisis. Drinks must also be purchased from the venue.

Is there an interval?
There are normally two intervals during the show, during preview season there is one interval between the two acts.

Can we reserve seats?
We set our rooms up with unreserved seats. Most seating is allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive early to get the best choice.

Do I need to book in advance?
You can buy tickets on the door, as long as there are still some available, however we recommend buying in advance to be sure of your entry (it's slightly cheaper that way too!).

How do I book in advance?
You can book at the end of the previous show, for a super early bird price, after that you can get tickets from the Rugby Club bar (up until show day) at the early bird price - they will take your name for our door list (physical tickets are not issued to save paper), or online from www.wegottickets.com/theharlowcomedyclub (there's a button on the front page of our site) - these are also at early bird price (but subject to booking fee).

Do you allow large groups?
Unfortunately not, groups of 10+ are not allowed, and we reserve the right to refuse you entry.

What time does the show finish?
We usually finish around 10.30pm, encores allowing!

What is your Covid policy?
We are aware everyone will have different feelings on this, and have endeavoured to create an atmosphere that feels safe, whilst reducing excess admin on your parts.
-
The most obvious, but PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU ARE SHOWING ANY SYMPTOMS (a high fever, a new or continuous cough, or a loss of taste or smell), IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE, or IF YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD TO SELF ISOLATE. If any of these apply to you then please contact us at harlowcomedy@gmail.com to arrange a refund or transfer to a new date.
-
We will not be giving specific arrival times for each group within the arrival window, but ask that if you arrive and see a number of people in the lobby that you wait outside until they have moved through, to maintain distance between groups.
-
We will not be using the Covid pass at this stage, but will check your temperature with a non-contact thermometer on arrival, and if you have a fever you will not be allowed in and will be provided with a refund.
-
The seating will be set out with a bigger than usual gap between groups (though not as big as 2m), so we ask that you let us know if your group has booked in multiple transactions, so we know how many groups of 2, 3, 4 etc. to set out. These seats will not be labelled, but will be correct for the number of groups attending, so please choose a seating section suitable for your group and don't move chairs around. On the door bookings (if applicable) will be set up on the night.
-
The Rugby Club have implemented a queuing system for the bar, or you can order using the Round app.
-
The Rugby Club have assured us that they have good ventilation in place.
-
Whilst we are not enforcing it, we would strongly encourage you to take regular lateral flow tests, to maintain social distancing, and to wear a mask whilst near others outside of your group, to help keep each other safe. We also strongly encourage payment by contactless forms.
-
Line up's are more likely to change than normal, we will update on Facebook where possible if things change. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the event due to staff sickness, you will of course be entitled to a full refund, or a move to a future date.
-
If there is anything you feel we have not covered please feel free to drop us an e-mail or Facebook message, with our first event back we are trying to cover everything to keep us all as safe as possible.

THIS IS ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGES IN THE LAW, IF THE LAW CHANGES WE WILL UPDATE ON FACEBOOK.
